Who I am.

I’m a philosopher — that is probably the easiest way to describe who I am, what I do, and what I’ve done in the past. I’m interested in how old ideas such Aristotle’s ethics or St. Benedict’s rules for monastic living can help us make sense of the modern world.

I earned my PhD in philosophy in 2019 from the University of Connecticut, where I specialized in language and logic. I’ve published in the journals Thought, Journal of Philosophical Logic, and Faith & Philosophy.

After earning my PhD, I left academia. I worked in AI for a few years, then I left for some larger tech companies. Now, I write and make videos for a living.

I live in Austin, TX with my wife, son, and animals.
